Why this exists
God didn't stop writing
Hey, I'm Caitlyn.
Every time I talk about being a Christian, about my love for Jesus or for His Word, I hear the same thing. "Yeah, but the Bible was rewritten." It's almost always the very first thing people say.
And my first thought is always: that's okay. That's something people believe. But look past it for a second.
I'm so blessed to be surrounded by beautiful women of God, my church and an incredible Christian community. And the things I see God doing in their lives, constantly, are incredible. Every single one of them could have their own book written, full of the amazing things Jesus has done and is still doing for them.
So you can believe the Bible was rewritten. But how do you explain everything that's happening now?
I believe that thought gets put there first for a reason. It stops people before they've even started looking into who God is and what Jesus does. This is my way of gently moving past it, and simply showing what He's doing today.
This idea kept coming back to me, again and again, until I couldn't ignore it. I really believe God placed it on my heart. So this is a place to collect today's pages: the big stories and the small ones, which are never really small. To share them so they encourage someone else, and to make sure we never forget what God has done.
And because I want this to be all God's work, Still being written isn't here to make money. It exists to point people to Jesus, and to point generosity towards Compassion, a child sponsorship charity whose work I love. I'm not officially partnered with them, I just believe in what they do.
I'm so excited to see where this goes. The book is still being written, and I'd love for your story to be part of it.
